Vinyl Type

Vinyl Type reimagines the traditional type specimen sheet that would historically go out as a promotional piece for new typefaces and foundries.

The modern application of those original ideas is a series of textured posters accompanied by a series of books with sample text. 

We have gotten used to designing from the computer out and we often forget that tactile characteristics of typeface design. Printed on vinyl these type specimen sheets give a texture to the letterform they represent.
